RSEQ announces 2015 football schedule

MONTREAL – The RSEQ is pleased to annouce the 2015 university football complete schedule today and the schedule of the televised games.
RSEQ football fans have a new appointment as soon as the weekend of Labor Day, while the regular season will begin exclusively on TVA Sports. As part of this partnership, the sports channel will broadcast 11 games until the Dunsmore Cup, the finals of the Quebec University football.
The schedule formula remains the same. Each team will play an eight (8) game regular season schedule. Each team will play each other once for a total of five games, two other games on the schedule are determined by the previous year's standings where the last three teams and first three teams will play each other twice respectively. Finally, four teams will play against the Atlantic University Sport members while the two remaining RSEQ teams will play each other. Each team will have a bye weekend.
The top four teams following regular season play qualify for the RSEQ university football playoffs. The second-place team will host the third-place team and the first-place team will host the fourth-place team in the semifinals on the weekend immediately following regular season play. The winners of both semifinals will play for the Dunsmore Cup that will be hosted by the top seed reamining.
The 2015 calendar is scheduled to start on September 4 and will conclude with the Vanier Cup on November 28.
