Laval and Trinity Western awarded bronze medals at U SPORTS women’s soccer championship

Due to inclement weather in Hamilton, U SPORTS has cancelled the women’s soccer bronze medal match at the 2025 national championship. The Laval Rouge et Or and Trinity Western Spartans have been named co-bronze medallists for the 2025 season.

The decision was made to allow adequate field preparation for tonight’s gold medal final between the No. 2 Montréal Carabins and No. 1 UBC Thunderbirds, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. With weather conditions expected to deteriorate overnight, U SPORTS prioritized ensuring that the gold medal match could be played as planned on Sunday.
