Favorite UBC survives a scare, host Marauders shut out on day 1 at U SPORTS Women’s Soccer

The top-seeded UBC Thunderbirds had to work overtime but eventually outlasted the No. 8-seeded Guelph Gryphons 2-1 (AET) to advance to the semifinals of the 2025 U SPORTS Women’s Soccer Championships in Hamilton. Joining the T-Birds in the semis are the Toronto Varsity Blues, the Trinity Western Spartans and the Montréal Carabins. The second-seeded Carabins shut out the host McMaster Marauders to advance.
